Drain Camera Brisbane
Find out what's really going on in your drains
A CCTV pipe camera is perfect for locating a blocked drain and working out what the best solution is to fix it. They are also used to perform plumbing inspections during which we can review your entire drainage system to ensure there are no problem areas or potential issues and if so to work out a plan to minimise the impact. This is particularly important for businesses that rely on a well-functioning plumbing system.
Fix the Problem, Not just the Symptom
How does a sewer camera work?
A drain or sewer camera is essentially a camera lens surrounded by lights that can be sent down a water drain to send back images in real time to a monitor on the surface. But how this is done and the standard of lens etc varies considerably from camera to camera.
The earlier drain cameras (still used by many plumbers) were essentially a snake camera that you pushed down the pipe and moved it around by twisting the cable etc. As you can imagine, this doesn't always allow you to get the best shot of a problem area. Reline Solutions utilise the latest pipe camera technology and have a range of cameras for both large and small diameter pipes.
Push Rod Pipe Inspection Camera
This pipe camera has a specially designed camera head which can be rotated and tilted from the control unit above to provide the best possible view of any problem areas. It is pushed down the pipe using the cable until it reaches the drain problem where you can then manipulate the camera head to get the best angle. Our sewer cameras can produce live images of the drain as well as create a video record for future repairs, relining, or a building reference.
The push rod drain camera is perfect for smaller diameter pipes.
What can a drain pipe camera be used for?
A drain pipe camera has many different uses, with the main ones being:
- Locating and identifying a blockage
- Assessing a damaged drain
- Performing a pipe inspection to ensure the plumbing system is in good order and identify any potential problems
- To provide clear vision of work being carried out in the drain
- To inspect a newly relined pipe to ensure it is completely repaired
